RECAP
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) _ Travis Fryman hit a pair of two-run homers, and Steve Reed pitched Cleveland out of a bases-loaded jam Saturday as the Indians defeated a Florida Marlins split squad 5-2. Fryman came into the game hitting 3-for-17 (.176) this spring. He homered off loser A.J. Burnett in the second, then connected off him again in the fourth on a drive to left that landed at nearly the same spot. Fryman followed Jim Thome's double with a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Winner Jaret Wright allowed four hits in 3 1-3 shutout innings, struck out three and walked two. Reed entered with the bases loaded and one out in the fourth, threw a called third strike past Ramon Castro, then got Julio Ramirez to hit into a forceout. Brant Brown singled had an RBI single in the second, and Chris Tremie doubled and scored in the ninth.
