Overshadowed but appreciated

Nate James
Duke

Nate James
Nate James has impressed his coach and teammates with his willingness to do the little things.

He doesn't get a whole lot of publicity or notoriety, but Nate James is an important member of Mike Krzyzewski's lineup.

James plays in the shadows of Shane Battier and Jason Williams, but let me tell you, he is an integral part of the team's success. This veteran player does an outstanding job at the defensive end, showing tenacity and attacking aggressively.

As his final season winds down, you can see how much his teammates appreciate him. James can run the court well, hits the offensive glass and shoots the trifecta.

He has been a weapon at times this season. At Clemson, he had a career-high 27 points. James totaled 37 points in two games against the Virginia Cavaliers. He just fell short of a double-double against Stanford.

James is the consummate team player, and a PTPer despite not garnering the same publicity as the others he plays with.

Just ask Coach K about the value of James and he'll light up and smile, letting you know how important he is.
