	Alvin Jones needed four seasons to develop into a first-round NBA prospect.

The Georgia Tech center has been brilliant under Paul Hewitt this season. He is one reason why the Yellow Jackets will be in the Big Dance.

The former high school star from Lakeland, Fla., is a key factor inside as Georgia Tech hits the stretch run in the ACC.

Jones has had double-doubles in five of his last seven games. In his first three years at Tech, he was basically a shot-blocker deluxe. But this season he has improved offensively on the inside, thanks in part to Hewitt's confidence in the big man.

Hewitt, in fact, says Jones is the best center in the ACC. He may be right.
