COACH OF THE WEEK: Gary Williams, Maryland
Coming off a pair of tough losses to Gonzaga and West Virginia the previous week, Williams took his young team down to top-ranked Florida on Wednesday. Maryland played hard and reflected the character and approach of its coach.

In the end, with guard John Gilchrist on the bench after fouling out, the Terps found a way to get to the winner's circle. An emotional Williams earned his 300th win as Terps head coach and No. 507 overall.

CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:
Hassan Adams, Arizona and Francisco Garcia, Louisville
Sophomore guard Hassan Adams showed his athletic ability in transition, posting two big performances. He scored 30 points in a win over Texas at the Jimmy V Classic and 20 points as the Wildcats rallied from a 15-point deficit to beat Marquette by 10 on Saturday.

Sophomore forward Francisco Garcia had two courageous performances after learning earlier in the week that his brother had been shot to death. The super soph had 24 points in a close win against Seton Hall (the game was tied 71-71 late until the Cardinals scored the final nine points). Garcia scored 21 points and showed his all-around game in a victory over Florida on Saturday.

TEAM OF THE WEEK: Arizona
Coach Lute Olson's Wildcats had a couple of tough tests against ranked, deep teams. Arizona's athleticism and enthusiasm showed at Madison Square Garden, breaking open a close game early in the second half against Texas. Then Arizona showed its heart by coming back from a 15-point deficit to beat Marquette on Saturday.

SHOCK OF THE WEEK: Winthrop over Georgia
Coach Gregg Marshall has always done a nice job with the Eagles, but Winthrop entered this contest 0-11 lifetime against SEC foes.

But the final score wasn't a misprint, baby! Winthrop 80, Georgia 60 -- in Athens! Senior Tyrone Walker hit 7-of-9 shots from the field and scored 20 points as coach Dennis Felton's Bulldogs were shocked.

DIAPER DANDY OF THE WEEK: Kris Humphries, Minnesota
Imagine if freshman forward Kris Humphries was at Duke as he originally planned ... but coach Dan Monson is happy to see him in a Golden Gophers jersey!

Humphries has been one of the most dominant diaper dandies in America this season. He had 28 points and 12 rebounds vs. Long Beach State and 25 points plus nine boards against Oral Roberts.
